The arts are fundamental to our humanity. They inspire us and foster creativity, empathy, and beauty. The arts also fortify our communities socially, educationally, and economically. And these are benefits that persist even during a pandemic that has been devastating to the arts. An investment in artists, creative workers, and arts organizations is vital to the nation’s post-pandemic healing and recovery.
That’s why as a nonprofit theatre, Actor’s Express is committed to making our programs widely accessible to diverse audiences. In this ever changing environment, it’s critical that we seek partnerships that enable our work by defraying the costs of producing high quality shows and training.
This year, as we emerged from the shutdown and extended our season in light of the pandemic surge, Actor’s Express was thrilled to receive sponsorship from:
Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta
City of Atlanta Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs
Fulton County, Atlanta, Georgia
Georgia Council for the Arts
Holland IT
National Endowment for the Arts
The Charles Loridans Foundation
The Shubert Foundation
Thompson Hine
Warner Brothers Discovery
Major support is provided by the Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs. Major funding is provided by the Fulton County Board of Commissioners. This program is supported in part by the Georgia Council for the Arts through the appropriations of the Georgia General Assembly. GCA also receives support from its partner agency – the National Endowment for the Arts.
These valuable institutions facilitated our return to in-person work, the creation of innovative new digital programs, and support of the Apprentice Company and inaugural New Play Commission Program.
